ON YOUR FEET
When things got serious my sister always said “Put your big girl shoes on!” I guess that is the same as thinking on your feet. I like the idea that some shoes can take on a certain persona for us. Certainly there are shoes that we wear for specific jobs or tasks. Shoes are the workhorses of our wardrobes, even if they don’t always look the part.
The RUBY SLIPPERS series is an offshoot of the ON YOUR FEET series.
When Dorothy wore the Ruby Slippers she had the power to do what she wanted most, but she didn't realize this at first. She was even told by Glenda the Good Witch of the North that the magic of the Ruby Slippers must be very powerful or the Wicked Witch of the West wouldn't want them so badly. Dorothy still didn't get it. She had to figure it out on her own.
We all have the power within ourselves to be or do what we want, even if we have to wear the Ruby Slippers to figure it out.
